Hafnium Hafnium is found in small quantities in the different zirconium minerals. Hafnium is a silvery metal that is highly ductile in its pure form and it is mostly used in core technology. With its high neutron capture property, hafnium is used to regulate the nuclear reaction in nuclear reactors.
