Inconel® alloy 718 is a nickel-chromium alloy, hardened by a heat treatment to which the elements iron, niobium, and molybdenum have been added while containing reduced quantities of aluminum and titanium. Inconel® alloy 718 combines corrosion resistance and high strength with excellent weldability. Inconel® alloy 718 has a very high creep-rupture strength resistance up to temperatures of 700°C/1292°F.
